Sync travels through your private iCloud, so on every device check:

• You’re signed into the same Apple Account (Settings → your name).
• iCloud is on for the app (Settings → your name → iCloud → see all apps).
• The device is online. Sync is usually seconds, but iCloud can take a few minutes after a fresh install — opening the app nudges it along.

Nothing is lost while offline: entries save locally and sail up when the connection returns.

No — it’s independent. Knots tied on the watch sync through iCloud on their own, and meet your other devices there.

Never. There are no streaks in this app by design — knots only count up, and nothing you have tied can be untied by a missed day. Quiet weeks are part of every voyage.

Menu (⋯) → Export your voyage → choose JSON (everything) or PDF (a printable scroll of your knots). The file is yours to keep anywhere.

Swipe any knot to delete it. To remove everything: delete the app, then clear its iCloud data in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

• Check it’s enabled: menu (⋯) → Evening reminder.
• Check notification permission: Settings → Notifications → Ulysses.
• Focus modes can silence it — add the app to your evening Focus’s allowed list.

Fireworks are earned: one for each knot you tie that day. Pinch and hold with your right hand — an ember glows at the bow — then release. If no ember appears, tie today’s knot first.

Pinch the rope coils on the mast — they remember your knots. Find the sailors’ constellations in the sky. Stay a while, and the sea may offer you a quiet minute. After thirty knots, watch the horizon.
